Community Storm Shelter
THE DOME
In 2005 Beggs built The Dome, a building at the Beggs Public Middle School, that can withstand an F-5 tornado. It has a steel frame with 16" concrete walls.
The building is utilized as an event center, gymnasium and storm shelter. It can accommodate 1000 people.
Join the Beggs Community Facebook page for storm announcements to know when the building will be opened for inclement weather storms outside of business hours.
