Good morning Okmulgee County. 05:25 AM update 01/24/2025. So far we have received reports of 1.5" to 3" of snow throughout the county so far as this first wave continues to move through the area. We will continue to receive light to moderate snow throughout the morning and int the afternoon hours before the next wave enters the area. The second wave will be heavier and a more wetter type snow with additional accumulations for 4" to 10" possible throughout the county.
If you can stay home please continue to do so. Travel is discouraged but, if you do have to be out please use extreme caution and slow down. The temperatures currently are ranging from 9 degrees in Hecotrville to 11 degrees in Okmulgee and 10 degrees in Henryetta. We still have at least 72 hours of bellow freezing and several hours bellow 0 degrees to go before the system exits the area and we begin to recover. These temperatures could bring damage throughout the county and that is the biggest threat along with life safety.
